This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for August 4, 2018.

11 P.M.

North Las Vegas police say a shooting happened at a house party near Lake Mead and Rancho in North Las Vegas. At least two people were shot and they have been transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

7 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal crash near West Sahara Avenue and South Tenaya Way that happened at 5:50 p.m. Right now it appears one person is dead. READ MORE

5:30 P.M.

UPDATE: The barricade near the Stratosphere lasted 16 hours and ended around 1:15 p.m. after SWAT breached the apartment. They entered the apartment and confronted the suspect who was still armed. SWAT fired multiple rounds striking and killing the suspect. READ FULL STORY

3 P.M.

UPDATE: The overnight barricade near the Stratosphere has turned into an officer-involved shooting. The suspect's condition is unknown at this time. 

OVERNIGHT

Las Vegas police and SWAT are dealing with a suspect barricaded in a residence near Las Vegas Boulevard and Baltimore Avenue near the Stratosphere. The suspect reportedly has a gun and has fired shots at police. The incident began last night. Road closures are in effect.
