The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE 10:09 P.M.
LVMPD on the scene of the crash at S. Maryland Parkway and E. Katie Avenue say an SUV was traveling southbound on Maryland when it struck 2 people. One was killed on the scene and one was sent to hospital in serious condition. Police say both victims are juveniles. The driver is suspected of DUI and was also sent to the hospital in unknown condition.

Both pedestrians were in the crosswalk and had the right-of-way when struck. READ UPDATE

7:01 P.M.
Las Vegas police are on the scene of a crash near S. Maryland Parkway and E. Katie Avenue involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. One person is dead, it is unknown if impairment was involved. Avoid the area.

13 Action News is heading to the scene, LVMPD is expected to give an update with more details soon.

UPDATE 12:15 P.M.
Police in Las Vegas are sharing an update on a deadly single-vehicle crash on the Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard/Sands Avenue) this morning.

8:58 A.M.
UPDATE AUG. 13: The Clark County Coroner has identified the deceased individual as 16-year-old Analyse Flaherty from Las Vegas. The teen died as a result of blunt force trauma and the incident has been ruled an accident.

Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly crash involving one vehicle near Las Vegas Boulevard and Sands Avenue on the Strip. Police say one person is dead. No other information was immediately available. There is no word of road closures at this time. Check back for updates.
