LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

12:42 P.M.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police detectives are on the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Wynn Road between Desert Inn and Pioneer Avenue. Wynn Road will be closed for the next few hours between those intersections. Avoid the area.

Police say a vehicle appears to have been traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into other unoccupied parked vehicles.

2 adults and a juvenile were transported to area hospitals. The adults have non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile has serious injuries and is considered critical.

12:40 P.M.
UPDATE Sept. 2: The Clark County Coroner has identified the deceased man as 86-year-old Martin Jacobs from Las Vegas.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at 2631 Heritage Dr. On arrival, personnel reported heavy fire and initiated an offensive attack locate any occupants in the residence. The fire was knocked down by 1:15 p.m. but firefighters located one person deceased inside of the residence. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Forty personnel responded.

12:30 A.M.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the LINQ located at 3535 Las Vegas Blvd. Upon arrival, personnel found smoke in a hallway and water from the sprinkler system. A fire was contained to a storage room in the building and a second alarm was called for the incident. No injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation.
