The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

4:45 P.M.
Clark County fire responded to a fire at 7273 Linaria St. that began from an unattended BBQ that spread to a wall and then to a yard. The American Red Cross was also called to the scene to assist.

11:49 A.M.
Las Vegas police say a decomposing body was found outside of a home on Autumn Rust Drive (near Eastern Avenue and Sunset Road) after the department received a call about the incident around 11:30 a.m. No other information was immediately available. Check back for updates.

UPDATE 10/21: The Clark County coroner has identified the man found as 34-year-old Steven William Lull. His cause of death was drug toxicity (meth) and his death has been ruled an accident.

10:32 A.M.
Las Vegas police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing minor named Darius Williams.

Authorities say he might possibly be in severe emotional distress and in need of medical assistance.

Williams was last seen on Aug. 22 around 6 p.m. near Twain Avenue and Cambridge Street (near Maryland Parkway) wearing a green shirt, black sweats and black Nike shoes.

All hospitals are asked to check their registries for the missing person and notify the police immediately. It should be noted that HIPAA permits disclosure upon request by law enforcement and is authorized pursuant to 45 C.F.R. section 164.512.

A man is in critical condition after being shot overnight, according to Las Vegas police. The department says officers responded to reports of gunshots and someone screaming for help just before 2 a.m. near Jones Boulevard and Twain Avenue. READ MORE
