LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:25 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a crash involving a car and a motorcycle at Wyatt Avenue and North Martin Luther King Boulevard. The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police have closed Martin Luther King Boulevard in both directions at Wyatt Avenue while they investigate the crash.

FRIDAY MORNING

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a small fire in a home economics classroom at Cortney Middle School, located at 5301 E. Hacienda Ave. Fire sprinklers were able to extinguish the accidental fire and no injuries were initially reported.
