The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

7:30 P.M.

Update (4/10/20):
The Clark County Coroner has identified the man as 33-year-old Edson Beltran-Aviles from North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas police said a man is dead in a crash near Simmons Street and Citizen Avenue. A 2006 Chevy Colorado pickup truck left the road and struck two light poles and a bus shelter. The male driver was killed, according to police, with road closures at the scene.

10:02 A.M.

Update (4/24/20)
The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim of the shooting as 32-year-old Brandon Coristine.

The cause of death was determined to have been a gunshot wound to the chest, homicide.

Las Vegas police are currently investigating a shooting on Shady Shores Circle, near Rampart and Lake Mead boulevards in Summerlin. Police say one person was shot and killed after an argument took place. A person was also seen leaving the scene in a black SUV, police say.

5:30 A.M.
NV Energy reports a power outage in the 89122 zip code. As of right now 1,633 customers are impacted, the company says. Damage to equipment is listed as the cause. Click here for real-time information on outages from NV Energy.

OVERNIGHT

UPDATE (4/10/20):
The Clark County Coroner has identified the decedent as Akheel Prasad.

His cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries to the torso, accident.

Las Vegas police say a 24-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle crash near Eastern and Sunrise avenues around 8 p.m. on Wednesday night. Police believe the 24-year-old driver may have been impaired and was speeding at the time of the crash. READ MORE
