Police: Speed, impairment suspected in deadly east Las Vegas crash

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police say a 24-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle crash near Eastern and Sunrise avenues around 8 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Police believe the driver who died may have been impaired and was speeding at the time of the crash.

The other driver, a man in his 30s, remained at the scene and was not impaired, police say.

The identity of the deceased and the official cause of death will be released by the coroner's office.

This death marks the 26th traffic-related death in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2020.

The crash remains under investigation.
