The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

3:32 P.M.
Police officer injures hand when attempting to break up a fight with a crowd of people at 1750 Marion Drive. All suspects ended up in custody without any further immediate details released.

UPDATE 1:07 P.M.: Las Vegas Fiire and Rescue says the fire near H Street and Owens Avenue has been put out.

12:55 P.M.
Crews are responding to a fire near H Street and Owens Avenue. Las Vegas Fire and Rescue says the building is clear and there are no reports of injuries.

11:18 A.M.
The woman who fell out of the El Loco roller coaster inside the Adventuredome last month was a double amputee, according Clark County. An incident report from Clark County Building and Fire Prevention says she is approximately 25-30 years old. READ MORE

6:00 A.M.
Crews are responding to an apartment fire near Flamingo Road and Buffalo Drive. It is an active scene, stay tuned for details as more information becomes available.

OVERNIGHT
One person is dead after being hit by a car while trying to cross the street near Nellis and Charleston boulevards, according to police. This happened shortly before 11:30 p.m.

Police are still looking for the driver and believe they were in a white 4-door vehicle. Officers say the vehicle may have damage to the front. It was last seen going east on Charleston and possibly went northbound into an apartment complex. Anyone with information is asked to call police. READ MORE
