The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

2 separate shootings in Las Vegas overnight

3:13 A.M.
Police are investigating a shooting at 6552 Wilma Avenue, near Smoke Ranch Road and Rainbow Boulevard, shortly after 3 a.m. Officers say a man in his 40s told them he was in the parking lot when a car drove by, a shot rang out and he was hit in the leg/thigh. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment. Officers are looking for the shooter.

1:22 A.M.
Police responded to a shooting on Sunrise Avenue, near Stewart Avenue and Lamb Boulevard, shortly before 1:30 a.m. One adult was transported to the hospital and is stable, police say. Officers are looking for the shooter. The investigation is in the early stages and remains ongoing.

OVERNIGHT
Las Vegas police say a 73-year-old man from Pahrump is dead after a crash shortly before 8 p.m. on South Buffalo Drive, north of West Torino Avenue. Police say the man's vehicle rolled off the roadway into a desert area and rolled over several times. Officers are unsure what caused the crash. The man was not wearing a seat belt at the time and was driving very fast, police say. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner's office will identify the man and the cause of death. His death marks the 27th traffic-related death in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2020. The crash remains under investigation.
