This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for September 6, 2017.

9:45 P.M.

North Las Vegas police are investigating an auto-vs-pedestrian incident at the intersection of Civic Center and Gowan in which two people were transported to the hospital.  Their conditions are unknown at this time.  The intersection is currently closed.

8:13 P.M.

Las Vegas police say an SUV was traveling southbound on Decatur when the vehicle struck an elderly person who was in the roadway just south of West Sahara.  The driver did not stop and continued to drive south on Decatur and its current whereabouts are currently unknown.  The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and is considered to be in critical condition.

3:30 P.M.

North Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide in the 3200 block of Lillis Avenue, near Carey Avenue and Belmont Street. A 37-year-old woman was found fatally shot inside a home. The suspect remains at large.

 

11:08 A.M.

Las Vegas police say two people were shot near 6400 South Rainbow Boulevard, near Sunset Road, around 10 a.m. Wednesday. One does not have life threatening injuries, while the condition of the other person is unknown. READ MORE.

12:00 A.M.

Delta flight 1057 had to make an emergency landing after one of its engines caught fire. No passengers were hurt. READ MORE.
