Las Vegas breaking news for January 20, 2019

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

12:54 P.M.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue officials report that a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Kyle Canyon Road, near mile marker 19. The plane landed safely and there were no injuries reported for the people on board. Kyle Canyon Road is closed from U.S. 95 to Deer Creek Road until further notice.

3:56 A.M.

Clark County Firefighters, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue and Clark County Heavy Rescue were called to Drai's Nightclub, located inside The Cromwell, after 20 people became stuck in an elevator. The rescue units were able to get everyone out of the elevator by around 7:49 A.M. There were no injuries and none of the trapped passengers required medical aid.
