5:54 P.M.

Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire in a second story apartment at 2155 E. Rochelle at 5:54 p.m. Arriving units found a fire that had extended from a stove in the kitchen into overhead cabinets. The fire was extinguished quickly, but caused damage that two residents from two separate apartments had to be relocated.

Apartment management was on scene to assist in the process of relocation and assumed control of the scene when the incident was over.  One firefighter sustained a minor injury that did not require medical treatment and was treated by paramedics on the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and the estimated damage to the property is $20,000.

4:32 P.M.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports that Southbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 60 is back open.

3:55 P.M.

Southbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 60 is still closed due to a semi that rolled over around 4:45 a.m. Traffic is backed up for several miles, and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
