BEATTY (KTNV) — A Nevada man has been arrested after calling Valley Electric Association and threatening to kill everyone, police say.

Nye County Sheriff's Office arrested 55-year-old Paul Kane of Beatty for threats concerning terrorism.

Officials say Kane called Valley Electric on April 2 very upset that his power had been turned off.

He made several calls to the power company and at one point police say he threatened to kill everyone.

Valley Electric has been in the news recently regarding an investigation into allegations that former CEO Tom Husted sexually harassed a female employee and then paid key management employees hush money.

Officials executed a search in warrant at Valley Electric back in February and later arrested CEO Angela Evans who faces embezzlement charges.
