LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The man shot by Las Vegas police in a standoff late January has been charged with murder in two separate events that happened exactly one week before the police shooting.
Police say Christopher Ashoff (right) and another man, Devin Campbell (left), are suspects in shooting that left one man dead near Hacienda Avenue and Pecos Road on January 22 shortly after 1 p.m.
Initially, it was believed the victim was hit by a vehicle but when officers arrived at the scene they found him lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.
Later that same day, a similar call was made to police near Lone Mountain Road and Commerce Street. Officers discovered man with a gunshot wound laying in the street near an abandoned vehicle on the road.
Both Devin Campbell and Christopher Ashoff were charged with two counts of murder and one count each of robbery with a deadly weapon in connection with these two events.
