Man in wheelchair killed in crash near Charleston and Durango

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a car near Charleston and Durango on Tuesday night.

The crash happened around 7:19 p.m.

A 2013 Nissan Sentra was traveling westbound on West Charleston when someone in a wheelchair was crossing south outside of a marked crosswalk, authorities said.

The man in the wheelchair was hit, and the Nissan then pulled over.

Metro Police says the victim was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.

This marks the 109th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2025.

The collision remains under investigation by LVMPD.
