LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police reported Thursday that a woman who was hit by a car in March died from her injuries a few days later.

On March 13, authorities say 39-year-old Christina Hern of Henderson died from injuries sustained during a crash on March 11 around 10 p.m. on Eastern Avenue north of East Rochelle Avenue.

Hern was brought to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said previously that she was not inside a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash, and the driver of the car remained at the scene and did not display any signs of impairment.

Hern was suspected by the authorities of being impaired, the department said in March.

Her death marks the 68th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2020.

The crash remains under investigation.
