LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide near Tropicana Avenue and Tamarus Street Saturday night.

Around 5:34 p.m., Las Vegas police responded to a call of a man beating a woman near the intersection. The man was seen placing the victim into a vehicle and fleeing the area.
Around 6:30 p.m., LVMPD were notified that a woman was dropped off at Sunrise Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The investigation by the LVMPD homicide section indicates the victim was "dropped off at the hospital by a woman driving the same vehicle seen near the original incident."
The investigation is ongoing according to police.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
