Las Vegas Metro respond to barricade in northwest valley

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — UPDATE 10:33 p.m.: The suspect who barricaded himself in the residence has surrendered peacefully.

Las Vegas Metro Police responded to a barricade at the 7200 block of Grand Palace Avenue at around 2:33 p.m.

A person threatened their family members with a knife.

The family left the residence, but the suspect refused to leave.

Officers are currently at the scene.

No injuries have been reported so far.

The public is urged to avoid the area.
