LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas is playing host to several significant events this weekend, including a much-anticipated heavyweight boxing title fight, three NASCAR races, and a presidential caucus.
The Nevada Democratic party leaders say they have been busy planning, preparing, and training to prevent the troubles the Iowa Caucus experienced in early February.
"What happened in Iowa will not happen in Nevada," said William McCurdy, chair of the Nevada Democratic Party.

"As soon as we heard what was happening on the ground in Iowa, we put our heads down, and we got to work," added McCurdy.
13 Action News has learned about 75,000 ballots have been cast during the first-ever early Nevada Democratic Presidential Caucus voting this year, but the main caucus happens Saturday.
While people head to caucus sites around Nevada, thousands will pack into the MGM Grand Garden Arena for Saturday's sold-out heavyweight boxing title fight.
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will go head to head in what is being considered one of the biggest and most anticipated heavyweight boxing rematches of all time.
Their last meeting in December 2018 ended in a controversial split draw.
"I'm definitely picking up where I left off at and calmer, patient, and devastating fashion," said Deontay Wilder during a recent news conference.
Both boxers are guaranteed at least $28 million dollars, according to published reports, plus a cut of the pay-per-view sales.

Across the street from the MGM, the Vegas Golden Knights are at home at T-Mobile Arena Saturday.
The team has won 4 games in a row and are currently sitting in first place in the NHL Pacific Division.
The puck drops against the Florida Panthers at 7 p.m.
'It's Las Vegas! Great weather, great weekend, you've got all the biggest teams here at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway!" said NASCAR driver and Las Vegas local Brendan Gaughan.
Gaughan is expecting some great racing at the speedway this weekend.
Las Vegas native Kyle Busch won the NASCAR Truck series Strat 200 Friday night.

The race is the first of three this weekend.
"I like the excitement, the atmosphere, we meet a lot of people here!" said NASCAR fan Mimi Woodruff.
"We're out here enjoying some races, some truck races, some car races, and eating some expensive hamburgers!" said Paul, a NASCAR fan from Washington.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway officials say 150,000 fans are expected over the three days of racing.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series race, the Boyd Gaming 300, hits the track on Saturday and the NASCAR Cup Series race, the Pennzoil 400 drops the green flag on Sunday.
Authorities tell 13 Action News if weather impacts the Saturday race, they will delay it as long as possible or reschedule for a potential double-header of racing for Sunday.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority says the estimated total economic impact of last year's NASCAR spring race was $166.6 million.
