7:30 P.M.
Over 8,000 NV Energy customers are without power on the east side of the valley. Most of the customers are located in the 89142 and 89121 zip codes. NV Energy lists the outage cause as damage to NV Energy equipment. Current estimated time of restoration is 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
1:50 P.M.
There are currently 273 NV Energy customers without power. Most of the customers are located in the 89102 zip code. Equipment damage is listed as cause, later determined to be a vehicle crash near Pioneer Avenue and Valley View Boulevard. Current estimated time of restoration is 4:15 p.m.
8:50 A.M.
Las Vegas police responded to a barricade situation at a residence on Egan Crest Drive, near Ann Road and the 215 beltway. Police said the incident began with a call about a suspected burglar. Police did not specify whether the suspect was inside a house he was trying to burglarize of it is was his own residence. SWAT and crisis negotiators are on scene.
