This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for March 9, 2018.

6:29 P.M.

Las Vegas police say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at West Charleston Boulevard and South Durango Drive at 6:29 p.m.. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries. Westbound Charleston and Durango will have some lane closures while police investigate.

1:46 P.M.

Las Vegas police confirm that an explosion occurred on 1700 Las Vegas Boulevard behind the White Cross Drug Store near Oakey. When fire crews arrived they found a man inside the power box. READ MORE

1:35 P.M.

Police say the woman who was shot earlier has non-life threatening injuries. They are currently checking out an apartment that may be the home of the suspected shooter. There may be road closures in effect near Cheyenne and Michael Way.

11:59 A.M.

A woman has been shot near Cheyenne Avenue and Rancho Drive. She was found in the parking lot of the 99 Cent store. She was transported to hospital in unknown condition. Police are currently on the scene. It is not known at this time what led to shooting. 

9:45 A.M.

North Las Vegas police have reported that person was hit by a vehicle on Martin Luther King Boulevard and Gowan Road. READ MORE

8:17 A.M.

Two vehicles crashed near Valley View Boulevard and Bonanza Road around 7:38 a.m. Las Vegas police say one vehicle rolled and another crashed into a gate of Ruth Fyfe Elementary School. Only minor injuries have been reported.

5:30 A.M.

A crash at Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway blocked east and northbound lanes of the intersection. Las Vegas police say that a vehicle rolled over critically injuring the passenger.

1:09 A.M.

An SUV drove into the side of the Stratosphere hotel-casino overnight. The driver was only one in the vehicle at the time of the crash and no one was injured during the incident. Officers say that the driver was under the influence of drugs.
