Las Vegas police say around 1:46 p.m. Friday an explosion occurred on 1700 S. Las Vegas Boulevard behind the White Cross Drug Store.
When fire crews arrived they found a man inside the power box, which they assume caused the outage.
The man found inside of the box and another man were transported to UMC Trauma. They are both in critical condition.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said both men were badly burned.
