LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — This is the daily roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

3:20 P.M.

Interstate 15 near Charleston has reopened after a serious crash this morning. The northbound lanes near Charleston were closed after a motorcycle hit a car. The motorcyclist died at the hospital.

11:15 A.M.

Nevada Highway Patrol investigating a fatal crash on I-15 at Charleston Boulevard. NHP says a motorcycle rear ended a passenger vehicle and the rider was ejected. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at UMC Trauma. The northbound side of the freeway is closed and traffic is being diverted onto Sahara Avenue.

3 A.M.

A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car near East Cheyenne Avenue and North Queen Street. Police say a man in his 40s was jaywalking when he was struck. The driver did not appear to be impaired. This is the 125th traffic-related fatality in Nevada for 2018.
