LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A batch of clouds along a cold front delivered some light wintry precipitation for early risers in Las Vegas on Monday morning!
Temperatures near freezing in the clouds will send spotty flurries flying between 5:30 and 7:30 a.m. even though temperatures at the ground are above freezing, in the upper 30s and low 40s.

Looking at Sean's photo, I'd say he saw some graupel (the Dippin' Dots of precipitation types; when a snowflake gets a little super-cooled water on it). https://t.co/v2aSFy5IFc

As of 6 a.m., there hadn't been any measurable precipitation at McCarran, so the 237-day streak with no measurable rain remains intact.
The forecast delivers more sunshine after 8 a.m. through the afternoon, but chilly conditions continue as highs won't get past the mid-50s.
