Flag ceremony held in Las Vegas to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A special flag ceremony to celebrate Hispanic heritage month was held Thursday.

The ceremony included a parade of flags representing the United States of America and 32 Latin American countries.

The history of National Hispanic Heritage Month

It was to celebrate the contributions of Southern Nevada residents who trace their common heritage to those countries.

Several city council members were in attendance along with representatives from the consul general of El Salvador and consul of Mexico.
