LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — February is American Heart Month.
Every year on the first Friday in February, millions of people around the country will celebrate National Wear Red Day to bring attention to heart disease awareness as the leading cause of death for Women.
This year, Vegas local CJ Forgione is on a mission to end heart disease and stroke in women.
Known as CJ's traveling heart, after battling a congenital heart defect, he spends his time raising awareness and helping kids battling heart disease.
All money raised on his website goes directly to the Children's Heart Foundation.
