UPDATE JAN. 31: Krystal Whipple made her first appearance in a Las Vegas courtroom today. Her case has been continued and she will appear again in court on April 1 at 8:30 a.m.

ORIGINAL STORY
Krystal Whipple, who is accused of killing a manicurist outside of a Las Vegas salon, is due in court Thursday morning.

It will be her first court appearance in Las Vegas after being extradited from Phoenix.

It all started at a nail salon near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard on Dec. 29, 2018. Police say Whipple tried to pay with a stolen credit card. When that did not work, she told the manicurist she was going outside to get money. When the manicurist realized she was leaving, she jumped in front of her car. The manicurist was ran over and died.

Whipple wasn't located until several days later.

Today's court appearance could include statements by witnesses and evidence. A judge will then decide if there is probably cause to believe she created a crime.
