UPDATE: Pedestrian hit by two vehicles in State Route 160 crash

One person is dead after being hit by vehicles on eastbound State Route 160 near Buffalo Drive.

The Nevada Highway Patrol posted about the crash around on Twitter around 6:19 a.m. Sunday. 

A blue Honda Civic followed by a light colored, small-framed pickup truck was traveling eastbound on State Route 160 approaching Buffalo when a male pedestrian crossed the westbound travel lanes and entered the eastbound travel lanes of State Route 160 in front of the Honda.

The front left side of the Honda then struck the right side pedestrian. The Honda came to a stop on the right shoulder and the driver then observed the pickup strike the pedestrian who was lying in the roadway. The pickup fled eastbound on State Route 160 without stopping.

The pedestrian died on scene. Investigators determined that the man was impaired and crossed the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk.
