LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police are investigating an attempted robbery turned shooting early Monday morning.

Officers say a man was walking home shortly before 5 a.m. near Desert Inn Road and Valley View Boulevard when two men got out of a gold four-door sedan and tried to rob him.

During the attempted robbery he was shot in the leg. According to authorities, the man walked to a bar almost three miles away before calling 9-1-1.

The two other men drove off and have not been caught, police say. They were last seen heading northbound from the incident.
