NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — One person was killed in a triple shooting that took place overnight Monday in North Las Vegas.
Gunshots rang out just after midnight along the 1800 block of West McDonald Avenue.
Neighbors who live nearby tell Senior Reporter Mary Kielar the house where police are investigating is a known gathering spot.
At the scene police discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
A third victim was located nearby in the area Juanita Circle and Carey Avenue.
One man later died. Another has life threatening injuries, while the third is listed as stable.
So far there have been no arrests or potential motive revealed. Detectives canvassed the area and investigated the area Monday, and Channel 13 observed several evidence markers in the street in front of the house.
Lyndell Westbrook moved to a house near the scene a few months ago and said his kids walk on West McDonald "on the way to school and home, so, that’s a little concerning."
Still, he said, this is normally a quiet neighborhood.
"As concerning as it is I feel like it’s more so an isolated incident," Westbrook added.
