LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A fight turned fatal in a parking lot near Harry Reid Airport early Saturday morning.
LVMPD shared that a fight in a parking lot in the 4500 block of Paradise Road resulted in the death of 46-year-old Yusuf Mosley.
It happened at around 12:27 a.m. on Sept. 6.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a man with a stab wound, LVMPD said. He was given aid until medical staff arrived, but police said he was later pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives determined that "the victim was involved in a physical altercation with two suspects and was stabbed during the incident," and that the suspects left the scene before officers responded.
Mosley's family reached out to Channel 13 saying their devastated by the loss.
“Yusuf was a a proud military veteran and UNLV student having just completed his Junior year. He had a laugh that could brighten any room and never met a stranger. Even in his 40s, he went back to school to continue his learning and show others it’s never too late to start over. He lived just blocks from UNLV campus and sometimes stopped at the nearby store for a quick bite, part of his normal routine."
The family is asking for anyone with information to come forward.
