Police say a 24-year-old man was shot at an apartment complex in the 3300 block of Civic Center Drive near Cheyenne Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

He died at University Medical Center. The preliminary investigation indicates the man was walking through an apartment complex parking lot when another man pulled a gun out and shot him.

Police are no strangers to the apartment complex named Cheyenne Condos. According to a report by 13 Action News Chief Investigator Darcy Spears, police responded to the complex 456 times last year alone. That's about 1 to 2 calls per day.
