Vegas PD: 500+ officers test COVID-19 positive since start of pandemic

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — State health officials on Wednesday reported more than 1,600 COVID-19 cases in Nevada were confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Officials also say more than 125,000 Nevadans have been diagnosed with the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.

Nevada reports 1,665 new cases Wednesday, 15.6% positivity last 2 weeks

As of Wednesday, that number includes more than 500 Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers with around 24 having test results pending.

Over the last week, there has been an average of above 1,700 new coronavirus cases per day.

In October, Nevada’s 7-day average was 640 new cases per day.
