AUG. 12
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 58,048 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 528 from yesterday's report), and 998 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations with 268 in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 12.7%. The agency reports 996 total deaths in Nevada, which is 15 more than yesterday's report.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 842 deaths (up 14 from yesterday's report), 3,325 hospitalizations (up 66), and 50,081 positive cases (up 435). Check back for updated numbers on recovery. That information has not been shared by the agency today just yet. The agency also reports 42,952 people (85.8%) have recovered from COVID-19 countywide.

AUG. 11
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 57,520 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 548 from yesterday's report), and 971 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations with 257 in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 13.3%. The agency reports 981 total deaths in Nevada, which is 18 more than yesterday's report.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 828 deaths (up 17 from yesterday's report), 3,259 hospitalizations (up 68), and 49,646 positive cases (up 495). The agency also reports 42,137 people (84.9%) have recovered from COVID-19 countywide.

AUG. 10
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 56,972 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 742 from yesterday's report), and 1,014 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations with 266 in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 11.7%. The agency reports 963 total deaths in Nevada, which is 8 more than yesterday's report.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 811 deaths (up 4 from yesterday's report), 3,191 hospitalizations (up 26), and 49,151 positive cases (up 685).

The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 56,230 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 811 from yesterday's report), and 976 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations with 278 in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 11.3%. The agency reports 957 total deaths in Nevada, which is 8 more than yesterday's report.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 807 deaths (up 9 from yesterday's report), 3,164 hospitalizations (up 7), and 48,466 positive cases (up 727).

AUG. 8
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 55,419 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 886 from yesterday's report), and 976 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations. The daily positivity rate is 11.2%. The agency reports 949 total deaths in Nevada, which is 29 more than yesterday's report.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 798 deaths (up 28 from yesterday's report), 3,157 hospitalizations (up 68), and 47,739 positive cases (up 749).

The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 53,557 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 729 from yesterday's report), and 1,117 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations. The daily positivity rate is 16.5%. The agency reports 900 total deaths in Nevada, which is 10 more than yesterday's report.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 751 deaths (up 8 from yesterday's report), 3,005 hospitalizations (up 164), and 46,185 positive cases (up 622).

AUG. 5
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 52,828 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 649 from yesterday's report), and 1,148 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations. The daily positivity rate is 14.3%. The agency reports 890 total deaths in Nevada, which is 28 more than yesterday's report.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 743 deaths (up 27 from yesterday's report), 2,841 hospitalizations, and 45,563 positive cases (up 566).

Nevada COVID-19 update for Aug. 4

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 716 deaths (up 14 from yesterday's report), 2,841 hospitalizations, and 44,997 positive cases (up 931).

AUG. 3
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 51,199 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 994 from yesterday's report), and 1,152 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations. The daily positivity rate is not available because it is "unreliable due to reporting issues," the agency says. The DHHS reports 847 total deaths in Nevada, which is 15 more than yesterday's report.

COVID-19 update for Nevada on Aug. 3

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 702 deaths (up 14 from yesterday's report), 2,788 hospitalizations, and 44,066 positive cases (up 919).

AUG. 2
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 50,205 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 1,131 from yesterday's report), and 1,165 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations. The daily positivity rate is 13.7% with no newly-reported deaths compared to yesterday's report. The state reports 832 total deaths in Nevada.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 688 deaths (no change from yesterday's report), 2,784 hospitalizations, and 43,147 positive cases (up 980).

AUG. 1
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 49,074 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide (up 986), and 1,165 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations. The daily positivity rate is 24.1% with a reported increase of two deaths for a total of 832 overall.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 688 deaths (up 2 from yesterday's report), 2,774 hospitalizations, and 42,167 positive cases (up 922).

JULY 31
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 830 deaths statewide (up 29 from yesterday's report), 48,088 confirmed cases (up 1,264), and 1,159 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations. The daily positivity rate is 20.8%.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 686 deaths (up 23 from yesterday's report), 2,752 hospitalizations, and 41,245 positive cases (up 1,052).

JULY 30
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 801 deaths statewide (up 21 from yesterday's report), 46,824 confirmed cases (up 1,018), and 1,145 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations (up 35). 327 people are in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 16.2%.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 663 deaths (up 18 from yesterday's report), 2,707 hospitalizations, and 40,193 positive cases.

JULY 29
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 780 deaths statewide (up 21 from yesterday's report), 45,806 confirmed cases (up 870), and 1,110 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations (down 37). 325 people are in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 12.6%.

Nevada COVID-19 update for July 29

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 645 deaths (up 20 from yesterday's report), 2,671 hospitalizations, and 39,345 positive cases. 5,989 new cases have been reported in the last 7 days.

JULY 28
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 759 deaths statewide (up 20 from yesterday's report), 44,936 confirmed cases (up 1,105), and 1,147 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations (up 35). 319 people are in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 18.1%.

Nevada COVID-19 update for July 28

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 625 deaths (up 20 from yesterday's report), 2,637 hospitalizations, and 38,534 positive cases. 6,234 new cases have been reported in the last 7 days.

Nevada Department of Health and Human Services sent 13 Action News this statement in regards to today's numbers (7/28).:
As noted on the Nevada COVID-19 Dashboard, the 20 deaths reported today are attributed to the individual’s date of death and all deaths did not occur on the same day. Additionally, data may be artificially high early in the week due to delayed weekend reporting.

JULY 27
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 739 deaths (up 5 from yesterday's report), 43,831 confirmed cases (up 988 compared to yesterday's report as shown below), and 1,112 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations (down 35). 310 people are in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 17.2%.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 605 deaths (up 5 from yesterday's report), 2,611 hospitalizations, and 37,492 positive cases. 6,139 new cases have been reported in the last 7 days.

JULY 26
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 734 deaths (up 2 from Saturday's report), 42,843 confirmed cases (up 1,027), and 1,147 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations (no change). 314 people are in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 11.6%.

Nevada COVID-19 update for July 26

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 600 deaths (no change from Saturday's report), 2,602 hospitalizations, and 36,593 positive cases. 5,915 new cases have been reported in the last 7 days.

JULY 25
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 732 deaths (up 10 from Friday), 41,816 confirmed cases (up 931), and 1,147 confirmed and suspected hospitalizations (down 13). 314 people are in the ICU. The daily positivity rate is 10.1%.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 600 deaths (up 9 from Friday’s report), 2,601 hospitalizations, and 35,786 positive cases.

JULY 24
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is reporting 722 deaths, up 13 since Thursday’s report. There are 40,885 confirmed cases, an increase of 966. The daily positivity rate is 11.9%.

The Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 591 deaths, 35,000 total cases (up 791 cases since Thursday), and 2,573 hospitalizations.

JULY 23
The Southern Nevada Health District reports 580 deaths in Clark County (3 new compared to yesterday's report) and 34,209 positive cases (up 1,152 in 24 hours).

Nevada COVID-19 update for July 23

The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services reports 709 deaths statewide (5 new from its report yesterday) and 39,919 positive cases (up 1,262). The department also issued a disclaimer saying that it has upgraded its reporting system and that: "It is important to note that not all the tests were conducted in one day, but that the State system is now able to more rapidly capture test results reported by individual labs."

Public Health Update

Today, the Southern Nevada Health District reported 736 new cases of COVID-19. Daily case counts reflect the number of newly confirmed cases received from a variety of laboratory sources and do not reflect testing dates or symptom onset for cases. Today’s case count includes more than 300 cases from laboratory reports dated June 25.

Trends reports that redistribute cases by symptom onset and reports by cases received are available at www.SNHD.info/covid.

Reports of coronavirus have been increasing in Clark County, and the Health District continues to remind people to take precautions. This includes wearing face coverings in public, practicing social distancing, staying home if you are experiencing symptoms, and washing your hands frequently. Clarification from SNHD: Today, the Southern Nevada Health District reported 971 new cases of COVID-19. After a review of the case data, it was determined the increase in reports was due to a delay in laboratory reporting. More than 240 of the cases reported were from laboratory reports dated June 23, and more than 380 were from reports dated June 24.
