LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — State health officials say Nevada has wasted or lost less than 1% of the vaccines we have been given.
"I think the story is how well our vaccination partners are doing at safely storing the vaccine and using it effectively," said Karissa Loper with the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health.
A dose can be wasted if it's not used in time or it spoils, and mishandling can also lead to the dose being thrown out.
