HENDERSON (KTNV) — The city of Henderson has partnered with the Southern Nevada Health District to offer COVID-19 testing at no charge.

The tests will be available on Aug. 27, Sept. 4, and Sept. 11 at the Heritage Park Senior Facility, located at 300 S. Racetrack Rd., from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Widespread testing remains the community’s best defense to limit the spread of COVID-19 and increases our ability to identify and provide proper treatment to all who have been exposed to the virus or are experiencing symptoms,” said Mayor Debra March.

Appointments are required and individuals of any age can be tested, according to the city.

Patients experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 will have a separate entry and exit to the facility to minimize exposure for non-symptomatic patients.

The test will be self-administered using a nasal swab. Patients must present valid photo identification, wear a face covering at all times, and practice social distancing.

“Providing a COVID-19 testing location for Henderson residents using our allocation of Coronavirus Relief Funds is one of our top priorities for protecting our most vulnerable residents and mitigating the virus’ impact on the community," said March.

Appointments for the three dates may be scheduled here.

The Southern Nevada Health District says it will provide positive test results directly to patients.
