LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Christmas tree shopping tradition is in full swing.

There was a steady flow of families at Rudolph’s Christmas Trees near Rampart and Alta on Saturday night.
Most were trying to find that bit of normalcy amid the pandemic.

“The Christmas tree business is one of those experiences that really brings a family together,” says John Rubbico.
Rubbico, operator of Rudolph’s Christmas Trees says despite so much hardship this year, his business has been a place for families to celebrate the holidays.
He's also thankful that business has been good.
“The Vegas market has seen about a 25% increase this year which we love for business,” says Rubbico.

The Christmas tree demand is being felt across the Las Vegas valley at similar tree stands.
Justin Powers of Noble Valley Christmas Trees near Flamingo and Fort Apache is trying to keep up.
Powers has already sold 70% of what he sold last year.
“We have trees starting at $60 and then they go on up from there,” says Powers. “That’s a little bit higher than what they have been in the past.”
Rudolph’s has incorporated a contactless ordering and delivery system, which allows folks to pick out their tree and for it to be set up.
