LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Costco confirms with 13 Action News that there are confirmed cases of COVID-19 among its employees.

The company did not specify how many employees or which locations they work at, but says it is communicating relevant information internally to its employees.

The update was in response to questions about a letter circulating over the weekend that appears to be an internal document for employees of a location in Henderson.

The document says in part, "We have been informed of a positive COVID-19 test for an employee who works at the front-end department of our location."

It goes on to list the steps that the company has taken in response to the test results saying:

  • We have contacted the local health department and are working cooperatively with any additional direction given by them.
  • We are undertaking additional cleaning and sanitation protocols and will continue with our daily enhanced cleaning.
  • We will communicate directly with co-workers known to have been in close contact with a sick person and are now at low risk for infection.

Please continue to practice social-distancing to the best of your abilities and good hygiene (cover cough/sneezes, wash hands thoroughly and often, and stay home if sick).
