LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A caravan protest is being planned for Easter Sunday after Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered churches in Nevada to close their doors.

The protest is titled Nevada Caravan Protest of Government Overreach on Easter Sunday, according to the event page on Facebook.

In Las Vegas, the organizers are planning to meet at a McDonald’s at 7310 S. Las Vegas Blvd. and caravan down the Las Vegas Strip to Fremont Street.

The other caravans are taking place in Carson City and Reno.

The organizers are asking people to decorate cars with religious messages and messages about freedom.

Earlier this week, pastors spoke out against the directive. Las Vegas councilwoman Victoria Seaman also spoke out in support of the pastors.
