Clark County School District will not vote yet on reopening schools

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Clark County School District has made the decision not to take a vote yet on reopening schools and bringing staff and students back to the classrooms.

It was initially reported that the Board of School Trustees would be presented with a transitional plan to move to face-to-face (hybrid) instruction on Oct. 22.

However, CCSD informed its employees and parents of studentson Friday that it is still reviewing health data and recommendations by the Southern Nevada Health District and is waiting to discuss community feedback and input before it considers a transition plan.

The notice sent to employees also said that a final transition to in-person hybrid instruction plan will be presented for vote on Nov. 12.
