UPDATE 4 P.M.: Property that was left behind at the Alpine Motel will be given to the owners off-site after the items are cataloged, according to courts.

A safe removal process will take place by a contractor to get the property returned, and a comprehensive order is also scheduled to take place after an inspection in the following week.

The next court date for the case is on the court calendar for March 18.

It was the deadliest residential fire in Las Vegas history, and on Thursday the civil case goes before a judge.

Months after six people were killed, survivors still cannot access items they left behind. The involved parties can't come to an agreement on how to retrieve their items without damaging evidence, so now the courts will have to weigh in.
