The CARE Coalition will participate in the 2nd Live Well Health Fair on March 21 at Boulevard Mall.
WHO WE ARE
The CARE Coalition is a Clark County-based nonprofit organization that provides awareness, and education to members of the community regarding the number one health problem in Nevada today: substance abuse. Our goal is to reduce the number of first-time drug users in the community while also providing resources for at-risk individuals to build their capacity, resilience, and self-empowerment. We do this by bringing together organizations and individuals who can provide the necessary services and resources to help Clark County youth, families, and communities to flourish.
WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE
o We will be demonstrating how to use the Deterra Bags (drug deactivation kits) to dispose of unused and expired medications.
o We will be distributing bag(s) to individuals who are interested or needing a kit.
o We will have a “Fatal Vision Google” demonstration. (public participation)
o Informational brochures, flyers, etc. will be provided and given out.
