A windy pattern is on tap for Southern Nevada for the next week. A slow-moving storm will impact the Pacific Northwest and the contrast between the cold air there and the warm temperatures in place across the Desert Southwest will drive 30 mph gusts through Las Vegas.
Winds could gust to 40 mph on Wednesday which will lead to blowing dust and reduce the air quality. The good news is that this general weather pattern will also support slightly cooler temperatures. Highs in Las Vegas will be near the average the rest of the week, which is in the upper 90s.
