The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory in the Las Vegas valley until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Residents can expect winds ranging from 30-40 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour.
Winds will calm down for a few days, but pick up again on Thursday. Gusts up to 60 miles per hour are possible.
Drivers should use caution on the roadways and secure any loose objects outside. Blowing dust may create low visibility.
