A flood advisory is in effect for the Las Vegas valley until 11:45 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
There's also a high chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the weekend. Flash flooding is possible through Monday morning, along with damaging wind gusts.
Residents are strongly advised to avoid flooded roadways. Six inches of water can potentially cause stalling, and one foot of water will float most vehicles.
