LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — As the race vaccination continues, the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System is focused on getting their shots to veterans.

“I just feel like I’m very fortunate,” said veteran Donald Hall.

He served more than 20 years in the Army and also dedicated more than 20 years of his life to the postal service.

For Hall, getting the vaccine is another example of his dedication to the country and an opportunity he says he feels lucky to have.

“I hope that everyone around the world would be afforded this opportunity. I thank God for allowing us to have the opportunity to receive this vaccine,” Hall said.

Currently, the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System says it has vaccinated 81% of its staff and more than 6,000 veterans.

More information about the vaccination process at the VA is available here.
