Starting Dec. 4 and continuing through July 2017, portions of Summerlin Parkway between Buffalo Drive and Rampart Boulevard will be under construction.

Lane, ramp and high occupancy vehicle fly-over bridge closures periodically will be in effect while the construction of a new westbound auxiliary lane between Durango Drive and Rampart Boulevard, HOV lane extension, and other ramp traffic safety and operational improvements are completed. Most work will occur during daytime hours, but additional night work is anticipated.

On Dec. 5, at 9 p.m., the HOV lane from northbound U.S. 95 to westbound Summerlin Parkway will close. This closure will last until the end of January 2017 and allow work for the extension of the westbound HOV lane to improve traffic operations.

During this time, the northbound Buffalo Drive to westbound Summerlin Parkway loop on-ramp will be closed and traffic will be detoured to Vegas Drive and Rampart Boulevard.

Other project improvements include traffic signal modifications at Rampart Boulevard, ramp lighting upgrades, overhead signage, trail improvements to connect Angel Park Trail to the Bonanza Trail, and storm drainage enhancements.
