LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a truck near West Bonanza Road and North City Parkway Friday night, according to Metro Police.
Police say that around 4:58 p.m., a crash between a pickup truck and a pedestrian happened when the pedestrian crossed onto Bonanza Road east of City Parkway from north to south outside of a marked crosswalk and crossed in front of the truck.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The driver remained on scene and impairment is not suspected.
Police say traffic in both directions will be shut down for the next several hours.
