LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A man is dead and multiple people were injured after a crash in the southwest valley, according to Metro Police.
It happened just before 7 a.m. near the intersection of West Sunset Road and South Cimmaron Road, according ot the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say that a 2024 Ram pickup was traveling eastbound on Cimarron Road when the driver of a 2023 Toyota traveling southbound on Cimarron Road failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Cimarron and Sunset Road, crashing into one another.
The Toyota continued into a metal fence of an apartment complex.
Two vehicles were involved and multiple people were taken to the hospital, police said.
Authorities confirmed one person, 70-year-old Victor Leongas, was killed in the crash.
This is an ongoing investigation.
