Update 12/8/25:

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has identified and arrested the suspected hit-and-run driver, 37-year-old Stephon Watkins from Sacramento, California, who allegedly hit a pedestrian who later died near the area of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard on May 30, 2025.

Watkins was transported back to Clark County, Nevada and booked into Clark County Detention Center on hit-and-run and reckless driving charges.

Authorities are investigating an early morning wreck that has left one dead.

It happened in the area of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Someone was hit by a vehicle traveling east while crossing Flamingo outside the crosswalk, beneath the pedestrian bridge, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Authorities pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene, marking the 70th fatal incident in LVMPD's jurisdiction this year.

The driver did not stop and fled the scene. The vehicle was later located a short distance away, but the driver is still at large.
